There are severl ways to come to Lipe depending on where do you travel from. There is no airport on the island. The only one way to go to the island is by ferry
If you travel from Bangkok, the best way to come is airplane. You can take direct flight from Bangkok to Had Yai. Thai airway and Air Asia airlines have direct flight from Bangkok to Had Yai and it takes only 1 hour to the Had Yai. Travelers who come from other provinces near Bangkok or provinces in North and North East should travel to Bangkok first then take airplane to Had Yai. After arriving Had Yai, you can take minibus or taxi to Pak Ba Ra pier then take ferry to Lipe. This costs around 1,200 Baht. At Had Yai International Airport, there are many local travel operators offering a shuttle service and some may add in the ferry ticket. It takes about 2 hours from Had Yai to Pak Ba Ra Pier.
Travelers can also go to Satun province by bus. It may take time but it is cheaper way. You must take the bus to La-Ngoo dustrict then take local bus to Pak Ba Ra pier.
For nearby provinces, traveler can take bus or driving a car to Pak Ba Ra pier then go to Lipe by regular way.
There are ferry routes from other islands to Lipe island such as Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Koh Bulon, Koh Mook, Koh Ngai, Koh Tarutao or even Langkawi island from Malaysia. By the way, it depends on season. This service may available for high season only. You can check with local tour operator about the best way to get to Lipe.
